Everybody loves DVDs – they are compact, easy to handle and require no rewinding. (You don't have to be kind and rewind. What a time to be alive!) DVDs are also cheap in price when compared to how expensive VHS tapes used to be ten to twenty years ago. Though twenty dollars is a fair price for your favorite movie, is there another source of inexpensive DVDs? The only thing better than a director's cut DVD with tons of extras is the same DVD for a discounted price.
Cheap DVD's For Sale The absolute cheapest DVD prices you can find will be one of two places. Either locally at a half price store that sells used DVDs (these might include movie rental stores as well as bookstores) or at an auction site. The advantage of shopping locally is that you can find a used DVD and quickly snatch it out of the hands of other buyers – who probably don't even like the film you're clutching in jealousy. Prices are significantly lowered at half price stores. You could find a classic DVD for less than ten dollars. But cult movie/TV fans beware – the most popular DVDs usually sell out no matter where you shop. Chances are you will never find a Star Wars film at a half price book store. Cheap DVD movies can also be found on auction sites such as Ebay. Unlike local half price stores, however, if you are seeking for a particularly rare or popular cheap DVD movie you will have to keep an eye on it and possibly outbid the other interested buyers, bidding from all over the world. Other auction sites include Yahoo and E Auction World. Sites such as Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble, Ecampus and other big name Internet vendors, while they quickly illustrate the savings you get from the suggested retail price, most of the prices for cheap DVD's on line are about the same. Other online DVD stores include Deep Discount, which offers a membership deal for Paramount DVDs for a $6.98 price tag and a 50% savings on “cult classics.” Whole Sale DVDs For Less sells general DVDs, as well as cheap adult DVDs in quantity. For instance, you can get 2000 assorted adult DVDs for $2,400.00, which is slightly more than a dollar a piece. If you think someone in the house will notice that massive porn debt, then you could order a less costly package of 10 adult DVDs for 39.95. Another Cheap DVD resource is the website Cheapest DVD Price which compares six different websites for the absolute lowest price, including Amazon, A1 Books, Overstock, and Buy.com. If you want to find DVDs cheap, then try buying in quantity. Buying over a certain dollar amount may save you some money in shipping costs. |
