Fleece fabric is thick, soft and warm. It makes perfect winter weather clothing and accessories such as scarves and hats and is great for making crafts. Fleece fabric is cheap and widely available at your local fabric store. You can find cheap fleece fabric in almost any pattern or color that you need. In addition, you can often find fleece fabric for under three dollars a yard. Here are some easy crafts that you can make using fleece fabric.

No Sew Blanket
Fleece fabric is perfect for making blankets for anybody. Adults and kids alike will allow the soft warm feeling they get from a fleece blanket. The good news is that if you don't want to sew, you won't have to make a stitch to make this easy no sew fleece blanket. Go to your local fabric store and look for discount fleece fabric. You will need a yard and a half of two different patterns or colors of fleece. To begin lay one piece of your fleece fabric wrong side up on the floor. Lay the other piece of fabric right-side up on top of the other fabric. Trim both pieces of fleece to make a square. Use a few pins to pin the two layers of fleece fabric together. Using a ruler cut 4 inch fringes around the edge of the blanket. Tie the two layers together and you now have a beautiful and warm fleece fabric blanket. You can also use this technique to make a matching no sew pillow.

No Sew Scarf
You can also use fleece fabric to make easy no sew scarves. Because fleece fabric does not fray, you can simply cut a long strip of fabric the length that you need to make a scarf. You can also cut fringe at each end. If you can sew a straight line, and here is another idea for a cute and easy fleece fabric scarf. Find two or three different colors or patterns of fleece. Lay the layers on top of other and cut them the length that you need your scarf. Using your sewing machine, sew the layers together using on long stitch in the middle and another one about a half an inch away from that one. Then cut one inch fringe all the way down the length of your scarf. This is easy and cute! You can make a whole bunch of these and give this away to friends as gifts during the holiday season.

Here is a trick you may not know about fleece. If you cut fleece fringe on a pillow, blanket or scarf, you can gently pull the fringe and it will curl!
