Rims are often the icing on the cake of a tricked out car; they can be flashy or they can be understated; but they’re almost always original. So if you’re shopping for some rims and you’re in the market for that little something extra you should consider the fact that probably one of the best things for you to find is cheap rims! You’re probably already spending too much money on your car if you’re out buying rims! Keeping it under budget allows for all the other little tricked out, fun add on merchandise that make your car the special vehicle that carries you around from point A to point B.

Cheap rims are the objective, as I’ve said and the best thing you can look for is the dirt cheap rims that are very difficult to come by. But if you know the right spots to look, you can often find that really cheap set of rims for your vehicle. If you’re vexed with where to look, the best thing you can do is be around a chop shop. They may just like you enough; you may develop enough of a repartee with the owners that they may meet your asking price or offer you even less than you’re looking to pay.

If that doesn’t work just being around them is the second best alternative. As I said they may know someone who is trying to get rid of a set of rims for their car or they may have a customer who knows someone who wants to trade up. So you may score a deal by third person.

Cheap chrome rims are the most oft traded type of rims. Though if they’re plain chrome they may trade for a little more than someone’s obnoxious custom rims. People won’t pay a lot for someone else’s customization; this is the reason they’re so cheap.

But if you’re looking for the very most dirt cheap rims, you may need to adjust your scale. If you’re looking for the price you want and you haven’t found anything, it may do your sanity well to really bolster your asking price and then adjust down appropriately. If no one will talk to you at your price point, I’m never one to suggest paying more than you’re supposed to, but if you need to do so, it’s always advisable rather than making yourself crazy by not getting any offers at your price.
